Look Out Tommy
Emmanuel Here Comes Tolly 2003/4/5
Learning an instrument is
an expensive gig. For the last three years the Anna Wearne Trust made an
exciting grant to Tolly, a now 13-year-old Indigenous guitarist from
Deniliquin whowants to be the best country music star in the country. Tolly
and his family applied to the trust for $1000 extra support for his guitar
lessons. Tolly learns at the South West Music School and his guitar lessons
also help him with his literacy skills. Over the years the trust has loved
hearing news of tollys guitar rifts and look forward to his next
application. We look forward to seeing your first Victorian gig Tolly maybe
FRL.
Tolly is very talented and
dedicated to his playing and Tommy Emmanuel is his hero. It seemed
ridiculous that money could get in the way of Tollys aspirations, so
the Trust filled in the gap and Tolly is now able to continue at the music
school. The Anna Wearne Trust would like to thank Tolly and his family for
their application as we were very excited to support such a fun and
inspiring young man. We wish you all the best Tolly and look forward to
seeing you work your way up through the Australian country music scene.
Keep up the focus and dedication and most importantly enjoy!
